Supernatural Worship
Theme For The Week: Our main texts for this week are on the Holy Spirit. They accompany the teaching for the week here.
Intro Prayer: “Jesus, please help me in this time to be fully present to You and to myself that I may commune with You for the sake of your glory and the world around me.”
Silence: In this time, try and become silent before the Lord both internally and externally for 5 minutes. If your mind wanders, gently bring it back to stillness.
Praise: Bless the Lord by declaring these truths about Him!
“You are intentional and my inspiration. You invite me into friendship with you. With you, nothing is impossible. You are interceding for me. Your creativity is infinite and you initiate with me and give me insight.”
Devotional: The Holy Spirit is present with the people of God in worship in profound ways. In today’s passage we read about what the Apostle Paul described as what could be our usual expectation of the Spirit in worship. Let this build your faith for the next time you gather with other believers to worship.
Scripture: Read today’s text slowly. Feed your spirit on the words. Your goal in this time is to commune with Jesus through His Word. Take note as you sense His Presence.
1 Corinthians 14.26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. 27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28 If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.
Worship: Worship forms the truths of Scripture deep within our lives. This week we will be worshipping to the song Surrounded. It is a powerful song and perfect for meditating on the Holy Spirit.
Listen: Take time to listen to the Holy Spirit. Write down anything you sense the Lord speaking.
Obedience: What from today is the Lord calling you to put in practice? Could be to pray for someone, to call someone, to serve someone etc.
